Daylight saving will start in parts of Australia on October 6.
Some states and territories of Australia will adopt daylight saving and move to Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) on Sunday, October 6 when the clocks are put forward by one hour. Daylight saving is observed in Melbourne, Victoria and in New South Wales (NSW), the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and Tasmania.
Daylight saving is not adopted in Queensland, Western Australia or the Northern Territory, and South Australia operates on Australian Central Daylight Time (ACDT).
