We conduct skills assessments for students to submit with their Subclass 485 (Post-Vocational Education Work Stream) visa application.
We assess whether your qualification is
- At the required educational level, and
- In a highly relevant field of study to your nominated occupation.
You do not need work experience for a qualifications-only assessment to support your application for Post-Vocational Education Work (Subclass 485) visa.
Find out more about the required educational level by searching for your occupation.
Apply to get your skills assessed
Start the application process and if you have any questions, you can contact our customer support team at any stage.
Important note:
The Department of Home Affairs has made changes to the Temporary Graduate visa program, effective from 1 July 2024. From this date, we are accepting applications for skills assessment under the new Post-Vocational Education Work (subclass 485) stream. For more information, please contact our team at info@vetassess.com.au. You can visit the Department of Home Affairs website here to find out more.
A Skills Assessment for permanent migration
Once you have sufficient work experience in your nominated occupation, as a subclass 485 visa holder you can apply to us for a Skills Assessment (qualifications and employment) to support an application to migrate permanently to Australia.
If your nominated occupation is the same as for your 485 visa
If your nominated occupation is the same as for your 485 visa, we will only need to assess evidence of your recent employment. We will not need to assess your qualification to complete the assessment.
Are you ready to apply?
Submit the downloadable SRG29 Post-485 form.
If you change your nominated occupation
You can change your nominated occupation for a VETASSESS Skills Assessment application.
If you decide to do this, you will need to lodge a new application online and we will assess evidence of both your qualifications and employment to complete the assessment.
Important note:
Applicants are advised to check age requirements to meet the relevant visa conditions before lodging an application for assessment. You can find more information on the Subclass 485 visa on the Department of Home Affairs website.
