Bendigo Kangan Institute is pleased to provide a response to the Australian Government's Food Supply Chain Capacity Study. In this submission, we outline our perspectives on vocational education and training's impact on the food supply chain workforce, address barriers to education, assess the training ecosystem's effectiveness, and highlight successful practices. Additionally, we discuss the role of migration in the workforce, evaluating how current migration policies address labour shortages, integrate with workforce development, and adapt to the sector's needs.
