VETASSESS has achieved the ISO 27001:2022 international standard for information security, recognising it uses best practice for managing confidentiality, integrity and availability in its information security management system.
The global standard covers how risk relating to information security is managed.
VETASSESS Executive Director Rob Thomason said achievement of the standard demonstrates VETASSESS’ commitment to protecting the information of applicants, government and business stakeholders.
"ISO27001 is the leading standard for managing information security," he said.
Organisations are scrutinised on how they manage risk, including on the rigor of their approach to systems security across their operations.
“This certification gives us a level of assurance that our information security management systems are robust and best practice, and this gives customers and our staff confidence in the integrity of our systems,” said Mr Thomason.
VETASSESS is one of only 700 Australian organisations to hold the ISO 27001:2022 international standard, and among 70,000 organisations worldwide, of which 232 are in the education sector.
Intertek SAI Global certified the VETASSESS information management system to award the certification.
